You're reading: Front for Change party: In two days about 8,000 Ukrainians join legal action against president

As of Thursday morning, 7,753 Ukrainians had signed applications to join in a legal action against Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych as part of the all-Ukrainian protest entitled "Ukraine Against Yanukovych," the press service of the Front for Change Party has reported.

Moreover, 14,300 people showed their support for the protest by signing Ukraine Against Yanukovych leaflets, the press service said.

The Batkivschyna United Opposition announced the start of the protest on July 16. The opposition intends to ask the Higher Administrative Court of Ukraine to start court proceedings against the president. Leading opposition figure Arseniy Yatseniuk is the plaintiff from the United Opposition.

The press service reported that information tents of United Opposition have been set up to collect signatures on city streets in all regions of Ukraine.
