The Cabinet of Ministers will hold its first meeting this year on Thursday, January 3, reads a statement posted on the Web site of the Ukrainian government. 

The meeting will be chaired by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.

Head of the State Registration Service Leonid Yefimenko is to hold a briefing during the meeting.

Among the issues to be considered at the meeting is the introduction of amendments to the law on the Cabinet of Ministers, some laws on the promotion of investment, as well as an action plan on the implementation in 2013 of the provisions of the strategy of public personnel policy for 2012-2020.

The Ukrainian government usually meets on Wednesdays.
