The decision of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on the size of the next tranche of a loan to Ukraine could be announced in December, EU Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn has said.

“As far as I know, the IMF is now conducting its assessment to prepare a report. I think we can expect more or less specific figure in the second week of December,” he said at a press conference in Kyiv.

According to him, the EU will also take into account the decision of the IMF in its activities.

“Regardless of the decision on the size of aid that aid should be used for the implementation of reforms,” the official said.
