Kharkiv – MEPs Rebecca Harms (Germany) and Werner Schulz (Germany) failed to meet with former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko in Ukrzaliznytsia's Central Clinical Hospital No.5 in Kharkiv on Wednesday, a source close to the penitentiary service has told Interfax-Ukraine.
The aircraft in which the MEPs left Germany for Ukraine flew into a thunderstorm and had to return to the airport.
According to the source, the passengers boarded another aircraft and flew to Ukraine.
Another source said that Harms and Schulz hoped to attend the Netherlands-Germany match at the Metalist stadium in Kharkiv on Wednesday and meet with Tymoshenko on Thursday.
