Hanna Herman is not a dissident in the Yanukovych administration but an active and supportive participant. A true dissident does not align themselves with a Tyrant nor support the illegal actions of a group of criminals who have and continue to abuse their positions of power. Herman has made to many statements in support of the Tyrant and she cannot detract from those statements by considering herself a dissident. The world of Yanukovych and the Party of Regions is starting to crumble before their very eyes. They no longer have international support from either the West or the East. The government of Ukraine has no sense of direction and is seen as a government that is responding to the unfolding events without any leadership. It is a government that is being run in total confusion and unable to address a clear message to the citizens of Ukraine, as well as the international community. Just like Tigipko, she will be thrown out to the dogs when the Party of Rats no longer have any use for her. Just like all the criminals running the country today, they will face justice sooner than they think and hopefully it won't be the type of justice that Ukraine has today.

KGB agent Tereza! This is what she is and was during soviet regime, spying on REAL DISSIDENTS and Ukrainian patriots.

Here is information disclosed about her KGB activities and her own handwritten agreement about full cooperation with KGB.

To say that people of Western Ukraine dislike her would be a gross understatement. She is despised and hated with passion !!!

She is known for her lies and manipulations. Linda Trip the most hated woman in US is a Cinderella comparing to her.

“When I first met Yanukovych, I knew that he and his people would come to power,” she said.

“They were powerful, rich and influential (Herman)

Thats right. Thats precisely why she sided with them. This is the side she always sided with through all her life, with those who were powerful, rich and influential. Not with poor and oppressed patriots and dissidents. Not with those struggling for power and change of totalitarian regime.

Now she wants her cake and eat it too.

Why so many snide comments about her. She was truthful she joined force she believed would come to power. She has not lied about her kgb past or her limited success in defending western ukrainian interests.

You are correct.

She has spoken against their unholy trinity; Sevastopo, Holodomor and Tabachnyk and stated Ukraine's second language should be English not Russian. She makes no bones about backing the wining party, now is she setting herself up to change horses in mid race?

In the article Ms. Soloveitchik writes western and eastern Ukraine in commendable lower case rather than as an East Germany, West Germany split. These pesky anonymous "Guest" commenters, or is it the same person repeatedly regurgitating, can only see the stye in other's eyes and not the blinders on theirs Matt 7:3. But that's Ukrainian; offering the crown to the foreigners rather than putting their own destiny on their own shoulders.

That's not to say we won't mistreat our own. We replace Comrade Lenin for Bard Shevchenko without ever lifting a Kobzar to read. Or do we still think he's the one from the football field?

Presentation is everything... Ukrainians are perfunctory...

Ukraine is compelling... Ukrainian is reserved

The only redeeming quality Hanna has is that she hates Dmytro Tabachnyk. On that point she is a dissident.

You don't need to be a dissisent to hate Tabachnyk. Many people in eastern Ukraine hates him too!

Limited success in helping Western Ukraine? The only success she had was promoting propaganda for the devil, and filling her wallet with the rewards!

She betrayed her people alright. She was recruited by Yanukonvict during the 2004 Presisdential elections. Her job was to help attract votes from Western Ukraine. That didn't work of course. She then went on to become one of the main propaganda mouthpieces for POR.Needless to say, that some of her anti Ukrainian propaganda statements would have touched her own people to the core.To say that she is not very much liked is an understatement. They hate her.

She started out GREAT and idealistic "in the days"...with mixed meager results;so she decided to be pragmatic and achieve more ...the question remains ...was this a Faustian move? Having stepped into "quicksand"...can she get out alive? with dignity and her soul?
