Ukrainian Interior Minister Anatoliy Mohyliov has ordered checks on claims made by opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko that Constitutional Court's judges are being bribed.

"We will immediately check the statements by Yulia Tymoshenko. And the relevant conclusions will be made – those responsible will be brought to trial, if the bribery took place. If these are just lies by Tymoshenko then she will be prosecuted," the Interior Ministry’s press service quoted Mohyliov as saying.

As reported, during a briefing on Monday, Tymoshenko said that judges of the Constitutional Court are being invited to meet with representatives of President Viktor Yanukovych, where they receive offers either to recognize the coalition and the government legitimate, or resign, in exchange for reasonable pensions and less important positions.

"$1 million is being offered [to a judge] to make the required ruling to approve this coalition and the government," Tymoshenko said and added she obtained this information "directly from the Constitutional Court."
