The Go Forward, Ukraine! Party and the People's Self-Defense Civil Movement are to support current Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko's bid to become president. The delegates of the second stage of the 9th congress of the Go Forward, Ukraine! Party took this decision in Kyiv on Dec. 11.

Leader of the People's Self-Defense Civil Movement and Ukraine's Interior Minister, Yuriy Lutsenko, said during his speech that he is on a leave from today until Monday inclusive, and that's why he is not attending the congress as the head of the Interior Ministry.

Lutsenko called on the delegates to support Tymoshenko at the presidential elections.

"Who hasn't betrayed the Maidan and its team, [and] who is able to bring order to our Ukrainian house? There is one answer: I choose presidential candidate Yulia Tymoshenko," he said.
