Interpol confirms arrest of ex-MP Shepelev in Budapest

"Interpol received this information by phone. We haven't got documentary evidence yet. But we expect to get the documents from the Hungarian law enforcement agencies later on Friday," the source said.


The Interfax-Ukraine News Agency – a company belonging to the Interfax Information Services international group – has been an information provider in the political and economic information market of Ukraine since 1992.

The Ukrainian Bureau of Interpol has reported that they have been notified by phone about the detention of a former MP from the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko and the Party of Regions, Oleksandr Shepelev, in Hungary, and expect to receive the relevant documents from the Hungarian counterparts later this day, Interfax-Ukraine learned in the agency.
