Washington – U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has expressed the U.S. support of the European integration of Ukraine in a telephone conversation with six leaders of the Ukrainian opposition.

The secretary of state expressed the supported to the European integration of Ukraine, but called to defend democracy by peaceful means, U.S. State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki said at a briefing on Thursday.

According to her, Kerry expressed his concern about the violation of human rights in Ukraine, as well as the fact that people disappear and die and urged the Ukrainian government to establish a special legal commission to investigate these crimes.
