Ukrainian parliament members are guilty in splitting the Ukrainian regions in many ways, UDAR party leader Vitali Klitschko has said.

“The split of Ukraine started not from Luhansk, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Lviv, Chernivtsi or Uzhgorod. The split started from the parliament, from those politicians who in chase of their short-term interests are forcing a wedge between Ukrainians looking for differences,” Klitschko said on Ukrainian television’s Shuster Live program late on Friday, April 18.

He said that one of the ways to split Ukrainian society is the issue of decentralization and the Russian language.

“It’s strange to hear that the issue of Russian language is raised again,” the politician said.

Klitschko said that the problem is raising and mulling for purpose.

“I first address politicians – stop your actions in the parliament, as all waves start from the parliament,” he said.

As reported, the Ukrainian parliament on Friday failed to pass a memorandum on the regulation of the situation in the eastern part of Ukraine Lawmakers from the Party of Regions and Communist Party did not sign it.
