You're reading: Klitschko: UDAR prepared for early parliamentary elections

The UDAR Party is prepared for early elections to the Verkhovna Rada, its leader, Vitali Klitschko, has said.

“We are prepared for any actions,” he said at a briefing on Tuesday, while commenting on a journalist’s remark that if the session of the Verkhovna Rada does not open within 30 days, the Ukrainian president may dissolve the current parliament and call early elections.

“We’re confident that we will defend the interests of all voters,” Klitschko said, adding that if people supported a certain political party and its representatives became MPs, they have to work in parliament and go to work.

“We are not ruling out early elections, and are prepared for this,” Klitschko said.
