Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klytschko considers the performance of his team during the first 100 days of his being in office successful.

‘I’m sure I can account for, speaking in boxing terms, the first round: our team won a difficult fight during these 100 days,’ Klitschko said when reporting on the results of his team’s performance within 100 days.

He noted that, when he had become mayor the vertical of executive power in Kyiv had been completely destroyed and budget shortfall had amounted to 20 percent.

‘We’ve conducted an audit. We know what’s happening in the city and we have plans for the next 100-200-300 days,’ the mayor said.

According to him, in land management sector, only 17 percent of land parcels were officially registered which caused losses to the budget from land taxes worth 5 billion Hr annually.

Klitschko noted that Kyiv Council had been barely working lately. Thus, there are currently nearly 3,000 cadastral cases on land parcels that Kyiv Council has to consider.

The Mayor also said that land auctions would start working again shortly. Expected income from these auctions amounts to 500 million Hr.

According to Klitschko, one of his achievements is work on regulation of kiosks.

According to him, over 350 illegally set up kiosks have been already dismantled. Simplified registration procedure for kiosks will allow bringing considerable amount of money into the budget.

Klitschko noted that he considered battling corruption his top priority task. A Web site reflecting all the facilities used for economic activities, particularly land, property and investment contests will be launched for this purpose.

According to the Mayor, already in 2015 the city budget will receive 1 billion Hr from investments.

In conclusion, Klitschko urged Kyiv citizens to solve all the long-standing problems together.

‘I cannot do much by myself – only together will we be able to bring order,’ he said.
