Kyiv Economic Court will pronounce its ruling on a lawsuit of the Russian Defense Ministry on the debt of the United Energy Systems of Ukraine (UESU) Corporation on September 19.

Judge Anatoliy Ivchenko announced this decision on Wednesday.

“The ruling will be announced at around 12:30 p.m. on September 19,” the judge said.

According to an Interfax-Ukraine reporter, the court heard statements from the sides in the case.

The UESU representative, Oleksandr Kovalchuk, said that the Cabinet
of Ministers of Ukraine never guarantied that it would cover the
corporation’s debt.

“Government guarantees could be provided only under an instruction of
the Cabinet of Ministers as a collegiate body,” Kovalchuk said, adding
that the Cabinet of Ministers had never issued such instructions.
