KHARKIV – The treatment of the back complaint of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, which was suspended due to her suffering an allergy, has resumed, her defense lawyer, Serhiy Vlasenko, has said.
"The treatment has resumed. Tymoshenko's skin rash has weakened, but no one yet knows its cause," he told Interfax-Ukraine after visiting the former prime minister in Ukrzaliznytsia's Central Clinical Hospital No. 5 in Kharkiv.
He also said that repair work was being conducted on the ninth floor of the hospital, where Tymoshenko's ward is located.
"They are conducting repairs there, and they isolated this room. I tried to go there, but they did not let me in. But they are preparing something there, most likely a room for video conferencing. But I emphasize once again that this [Tymoshenko's participation in trial via videoconference] is illegal," Vlasenko said.
