You're reading: Local elections in Ukraine in 2015 need Hr 1.21 billion – Central Election Commission

 The Central Election Commission (CEC) asks the government to include Hr 1.21 billion in the national budget for 2015 to finance regular local elections in Ukraine.

 The CEC on July 9 approved Hr 1,210,300,000 in local election expenses to be included in a budget formation request under the budget program for subsidies transferred from the national budget to local budgets for holding elections of deputies of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and local councils, city and town mayors, and village heads.

The CEC also approved Hr 23.675 million in spending on the election of Members of Parliament in 2015. In additional the commission set expenses on the maintenance of the state register of voters at Hr 18 million.

The regular local elections in Ukraine are scheduled for the last Sunday in October 2015.
