Ex-Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko has said that law-enforcement agencies have started repeatedly checking his activity in the period when he was the post of the minister starting from 2005.

Answering a question if new criminal cases could be opened against him he said in the exclusive interview with ZN.UA publication that it could be so.

“I even know that they again started checking my activity in the period when I was on the post of the minister starting from 2005,” he said.

The former minister said that he does not plan to live Ukraine or hide.

“I haven’t done this before the arrest. However, everyone warned me and even pushed from the country,” he said.

Lutsenko agreed that before his arrest in 2010 he did not believe till the last that the event would develop in this way.

“I don’t deny that I was not the most far-seeing in the country. We faced the system, the level of malignancy of which we didn’t understand in full. It was simply impossible to imagine many things,” he said.
