You're reading: Lutsenko sent to hospital for medical examination outside detention facility

Former Ukrainian Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko has been sent to Kyiv City Clinic for Emergency Aid for a medical examination, the press service of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine reported.

"On April 6 Lutsenko was transported from a Kyiv-based detention facility to Kyiv City Clinic for Emergency Aid for an examination," reads the statement.

The press service recalled that doctors from the Health Ministry and the State Penitentiary Service made such a decision following the results of an examination and at the request of Lutsenko.
