Former Ukrainian Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko, who was sentenced to four years in prison for committing officials crimes, has said he believes that he will serve his sentence in the Mena penal colony in Chernihiv region, in which former law enforcement officers are imprisoned.

"I understand that the issue concerns a colony for former employees of law enforcement agencies in the Mena district of Chernihiv region," the ex-minister said in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda, when asked whether he knows where he is to be sent to serve his sentence.

Asked whether he is afraid of being sent to this colony, Lutsenko said: "I have already been told that they are waiting for me there – those who were imprisoned based on the documents of the Interior Ministry’s internal security service. However, I’m not accustomed to crying like Jeremiah."
