Pechersky District Court in Kyiv has turned down a petition to change the measure of restraint for former Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko, who is currently in custody.

The court hasn’t found any grounds to change the measure of restraint, reads a resolution by Presiding Judge Serhiy Vovk.

Lutsenko and his driver Leonid Prystupliuk were charged on Dec. 13, 2010 with the large-scale misappropriation of state owned assets, abuse of power and document forgery.

The former minister was arrested on Dec. 26 2010 and has been held in jail since then.
