Brussels – MEP Pawel Kowal (European Conservatives and Reformists Group) has headed the mission of observers from the European Parliament at the elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The mission is made up of 15 members of the European Parliament. These are the results of a constituent meeting of the observation mission which took place held in Brussels on Thursday, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.
MEP Michael Gahler (Group of the European People's Party), MEP Rebecca Harms (Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance) and Juan Fernando López Aguilar (Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats) will be deputy heads of the mission.
