Brussels -- German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Nov. 26 in the lower house of the German parliament that the complicated way of settling the Ukrainian conflict will be success.

She promised to do all possible to find a diplomatic solution during the talks with Russia.

The German chancellor said that she many times discussed the possible negative consequences of signing the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement for Russia with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The European Union understands anxieties of Russia and agreed that the application of the section regarding trade issues was postponed until January 1, 2016, Merkel said.

She said that nothing could justify the annexation of Crimea and direct or indirect participation of Russia in the armed conflict in Donetsk and Luhansk.

“Russia’s actions put the order in Europe under question and violate international law,” Merkel said.
