Opposition Bloc will cooperate with pro-government political forces on key issues and support any plan that would lead to peace in Donbas, Opposition Bloc leader Yuriy Boiko has said.

“We have been saying all along that we are an opposition party. However, concerning cooperation in matters of national security, welfare and other aspects of life in this country, we will not strike a pose as the previous opposition did and say “the worse the better.” We think the situation is so serious that we will have to make decisions on issues of crucial importance, on which the future of Ukraine depends, that will support the future of the country,” he said at a press briefing on Oct. 27.

Asked whether the Opposition Bloc will back President Petro Poroshenko’s peace plan, Boiko said, “We have made our official position known from the beginning. We will support any plan that would bring peace to the territories which have suffered from the armed conflict. We will support any plan that will put an end to killings and guarantee stability in the region.”
