The parliamentary faction of the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko has demanded that a special commission be set up to investigate the actions of members of the Constitutional Court (CC), who reversed the political reform of 2004.

Deputy speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mykola Tomenko announced this during the morning session of the parliament in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Tomenko urged the parliamentarian to adopt a resolution on holding the members of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine to account. According to the politician, the Verkhovna Rada should also adopt a resolution on early elections for the parliament and president.

"If the president is not the guarantor of the constitution, society and the opposition have to become the guarantor of the constitution, and protect citizens’ rights," the deputy speaker said.
