Batkivschyna party has proposed to schedule early elections for Kyiv mayor and deputies of Kyiv city council for November 10, 2013.

The relative order initiated by MPs from the Batkivschyna faction,
Oleksandr Chornovolenko and Yuriy Odarchenko, was registered at the
parliament on Tuesday.

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada has twice considered the issue of
scheduling the local elections in Kyiv, but the voting failed both
times.

In accordance with the ruling of the Constitutional Court, the next
local elections will be held at the same time on the whole territory of
Ukraine, namely on the last Sunday in October 2015.

However, the opposition has demanded that the Verkhovna Rada set a
date for early elections for Kyiv City Council deputies and Kyiv’s
mayor.
