The Our Ukraine - People's Self-Defense bloc faction is collecting signatures for expulsion from the faction of those members of parliament who backed ratification of an treaty extending stationing of the Russian Black Sea fleet on the territory of Ukraine until 2042, MP Parubii of the OU-PSD said to 5 Channel on May 14.

"I guess today we have only one problem: those seven Our Ukraine MPs who voted for ratification of the Kharkiv agreements. And I am one of those who instigated the collection of signatures in the faction to expel these lawmakers from it," he said.

Parubii says that despite the recent amendments to the parliamentary regulations, which allow expelled MPs to form a separate faction, in his view it is necessary to cry down in public those people who supported the treaty contrary to the national interests.

The lawmaker marks, in spite of all controversies within the OU-PSD less people leave it for the coalition than the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc faction, and also he is convinced that namely his faction can become the core of counteracting the current authorities.

The following OU-PSD legislators voted for extending presence of the Russian Black Sea fleet: Yurii But, Stanislav Dovhyi, Davyd Zhvania, Volodymyr Poliachenko, Serhii Vasylenko, Oleksandr Omelchenko and Ihor Palitsa.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, MP Oles Donii of the OU-PSD called upon the faction to expel the lawmakers who joined the coalition or voted for ratification of the treaty prolonging stay of the Russian Black Sea fleet in Ukraine.
