You're reading: Parliament dismisses Tsushko as Antimonopoly Committee chief at second attempt

The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, has voted in favor of the dismissal of Vasyl Tsushko as chairman of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU).

A total of 238 MPs voted for this resolution at a morning plenary meeting on Wednesday.

An Interfax-Ukraine reporter said that MPs twice voted for a
resolution on Tsushko’s dismissal, as there were not enough votes at the
first attempt.

Tsushko had headed the Antimonopoly Committee since December 2010.
