You're reading: Poland offers Ukraine investment, assistance in decentralization, anti-corruption efforts

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz discussed the development of strategic partnership at a meeting in Milan on Friday, the Ukrainian presidential press service reported. 

“During the meeting, [Poroshenko and Kopacz] discussed the primary goals on the agenda of bilateral relations, particularly cooperation in the fields of energy, security and defense, and combating corruption. The Polish prime minister offered expert assistance to Ukraine regarding the functioning of a Polish analogue of an anti-corruption bureau and decentralization,” it said.

The parties expressed confidence that Ukrainian-Polish relations would continue to develop in the spirit of strategic partnership.

The report says also that Warsaw would present a number of investment projects to Kyiv in the near future.

Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Janusz Piechocinski will arrive in Ukraine in the near future to present these investment projects, the Ukrainian presidential press service said.
