Political analyst Kost Bondarenko has said that Ukrainian Ambassador to Russia Kostiantyn Hryschenko, Ukraine's permanent representative to the international organizations in Vienna Volodymyr Yelchenko, and Regions Party MP Leonid Kozhara are being considered as candidates for the post of Ukrainian foreign minister.

"As far as I know, the question [of the appointment of a new foreign minister] is being discussed, and, as far as I know, current Foreign Minister [Petro Poroshenko] would like to remain at his post. However, there are many people in the entourage of [Regions Party leader] Viktor Yanukovych, who also would like to try their hand [at the post of foreign minister]," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.

Bondarenko is the head of the Kyiv Gorshenin Institute of Management Issues.

Poroshenko has headed the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry since October 2009.
