Milan -- Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko says that no practical results on resolving gas supply issues were achieved at his bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Milan.

“We could not achieve any practical results on the gas issue. But we hope that we can find a solution to this issue before a meeting between Ukrainian, Russian, and European Commission delegations in Brussels on Oct. 21,” Poroshenko told journalists following a meeting with Putin in Milan on Friday.

The Ukrainian president said that there was certain progress in gas talks, but some details still needed to be discussed.
