Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has confirmed his intention to participate in the parliamentary elections in October 2012.

Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has confirmed his intention to participate in the parliamentary elections in October 2012.

"I promised my voters more than a year ago that I would run [for parliament], and I always stick to my words. I'll do it," he said at a meeting to mark the Day of Trade Employee at Kyiv Trade and Economic University on Friday.

Poroshenko added that further details related to his election campaign would be announced later.
