Gazprom is delaying the payment for the transit of Russian gas through the Ukrainian gas transport system to the EU for September-October, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has told German Chancellor Angela Merkel in a phone conversation.
“The president said that Ukraine had paid for the first tranche of gas debt and had not yet received the payment for the transit of Russian gas to the EU for September and October,” the presidential press service reported on Nov. 7, referring to the conversation between the two leaders.
