Samopomich (Self-Help) Party leader and Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy has said that the work of a new parliamentary coalition was discussed at his meeting with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

“We discussed a broad agenda [with the president], but the central issue was our upcoming work in parliament, the functioning of the coalition,” Sadovy said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Thursday, Oct. 30.

The meeting also addressed the general situation in Ukraine and the work of regional administrations, he said.

“I discussed the same topics with Arseniy Petrovych [Yatsenyuk],” he said.

“Samopomich has one ambition – it wants unity, it wants the People’s Front and the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko to be together. And we’re doing everything in our power to make this happen. Unity is what the Ukrainian people want,” Sadovy said.
