Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko will be taken to Kyiv to attend the interrogation of a witness on the criminal case on the murder of Ukrainian parliamentarian Yevhen Scherban on Friday, February 15, the press service of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine has said on Thursday evening.

“Despite her categorical refusal to write down in a document her position regarding the participation in the interrogation of witnesses at the court, still convict Tymoshenko has written a relevant request to the administration of the prison and the court, saying that she wants to attend the court hearing,” reads the statement.

The prison service also posted a video on its Web site on which Tymoshenko told a female employee of the prison service that she does not refuse to attend the court hearing.

“Speaking about tomorrow, I have told you that you are the penitentiary service, so act according to the law. You must act according to the legislation… I categorically refuse to write any documents. I am not refusing and I am saying this in front of the camera,” Tymoshenko said.
