Russia and Ukraine may cooperate closer on the international arena and should resume comprehensive military and military-technological cooperation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

“Russia and Ukraine could also closer interact on the international
arena and expand coordination of their positions on relevant global
problems,” Putin said at a session of the Russian-Ukrainian interstate
commission on Tuesday.

The Russian leader emphasized the issue of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet
based in Sevastopol as a key factor of regional security. “We should
resume comprehensive military and military-technological cooperation.
The Ukrainian president and I have talked a lot on this account,” he
said.
