Kyiv, May 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The presidency of Vladimir Putin is unlikely to introduce clarity into the Ukrainian-Russian relations, Director of the Institute of Global Strategies Vadym Karasev has said.

"The beginning of the third term of the presidency (of Vladimir Putin) does not bring clarity to the Ukrainian-Russian relations, they are still vague and indistinct…" he said at a press conference on Monday, predicting the development of the relations between Kyiv and Moscow after Putin’s inauguration.

According to him, the Ukrainian-Russian relations currently are neither feud, nor friendship and all the integration projects are suspended.

Head of the Ukrainian Barometer Sociological Service Viktor Nebozhenko, for his part, said that Ukraine was awaiting "minor trade wars" from Russia.

"The threats of trade wars will be a major problem for our Cabinet," he said.

Nebozhenko also expects that a pro-Russian party will be created after the parliamentary elections in Ukraine.
