You're reading: Pylypyshyn wins a set in the Rada

  With 100% of the ballots of precinct election commissions counted, self-nominee, head of Kyiv Residents Above All organization Viktor Pylypyshyn won the repeat parliamentary elections in Ukraine at constituency No. 223 in Shevchenkivsky district in Kyiv.

According to the figures published on the Web site of the Central Election Commission, he scored 44.89% of the vote, whereas his closest rival – nominee of the Svoboda All-Ukrainian Union Yuriy Levchenko received 40.58% of the vote.

Lawyer Tetiana Montian got 3.29% of the vote, writer Oles Buzyna 3.11%, Svoboda nominee’s namesake Andriy Levchenko got 1.87%, the rest received less than 1%.

A total of 70 candidates ran for parliament in this constituency.

The ballots are still being counted at two of the five constituencies where repeat parliamentary elections took place on December 15. A total of 94.81% of ballots have been counted in constituency No.94, and 99.31% of ballots have been counted in constituency No.197.
