Moscow -- France's refusal to deliver Mistral-class helicopter carriers to Russia will not cause damage to bilateral relations.

“Generally speaking, this situation will not undermine our multi-level relations with Paris. But it will unavoidably dent France’s reputation as a supplier, and we would very much like to hope that Paris realizes this,” Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexei Meshkov told Interfax.

Earlier this week, French President Francois Hollande ordered that the Mistral deal be put on hold “until further notice”, citing the current situation in Ukraine.
