Room for video conferences set up at hospital where Tymoshenko is treated

"We received a letter from Kyivsky District Court with a request to hold video conferences. We gave them a positive answer," the doctor told journalists on Tuesday.

He also showed a room for video conferences on the ninth floor of the hospital at a distance of 35 meters from the ex-premier's ward.

According to an Interfax-Ukraine reporter, there is a big screen with a video camera on the wall of the room. There are also two tables with microphones and headphones, as well as a mixing desk in the room.

There is also a bed with a microphone installed near it in the conference room.

Afanasyev said that the room was equipped in a standard way for video conferences.

According to him, it was decided to equip the room following a visit of the doctors from the German Charite clinic on July 30.

"We discussed with them a possibility of keeping in touch via video conference, so that they could clearly control and manage the process of treatment," Afanasyev said.
