Volodymyr Semynozhenko has been appointed as head of the State Agency for Science, Innovation and Information Technology following the reorganization of the State Committee for Science, Innovation and Information Technology.
The decree making the appointment was signed by President Viktor Yanukovych on December 21, his press service reported.
As reported, on December 9, President Viktor Yanukovych issued a decree on the optimization of the system of central executive agencies, which foresees the reorganization of a whole range of ministries and bodies.
Under the decree, the State Committee for Science, Innovation and Information Technology was reorganized into the State Agency for Science, Innovation and Information Technology.
Thus, Semynozhenko was dismissed as head of the state committee and appointed as head of the state agency.
