You're reading: Svoboda, United Opposition may call people to streets

The leader of the Svoboda All-Ukrainian Union Oleh Tiahnybok has said that his party has an agreement with the Batkivschyna United Opposition that they will jointly urge people to stage protests to protect the parliamentary election results if such a need arises.

He said this at a press briefing at the party’s office in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Tiahnybok did not rule out that the actions of the authorities may
force the opposition to resort to such measures, but noted that they
were still fighting for the election results via legal means.
