You're reading: Three new inter-faction groups set up in Ukrainian parliament

Three new inter-faction groups, in charge of local government, cooperation with African, Asian and Latin American countries, and the cleanliness of the Dnipro River, have been set up in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Rybak announced at a morning session on Tuesday the formation of an inter-faction association that will oversee the development of local government in Ukraine, and which will be lead by the deputy head of the Party of Regions faction, Yevhen Kartashov.

The parliament also formed an association of MPs that will promote cooperation with African, Asian, and Latin American countries and their economic unions. This group will be led by MP Serhiy Hrynevetsky of the Party of Regions.

In addition, an inter-faction association For a Clean Dnipro headed by MP Yuriy Shapovalov of the Party of Regions was created in the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday.
