You're reading: Three Ukraine exit polls: Yanukovych, Tymoshenko win in presidential contest

Ukrainian opposition leader Viktor Yanukovich led in a presidential poll on Sunday while Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko was in second place, three exit polls said.

An exit poll by ICTV gave Yanukovich 35.06 percent of the vote while Tymoshenko had 25.72 percent.

A separate poll by the National Exit Poll consortium gave Yanukovich 31.5 percent and Tymoshenko 27.2 percent.

A third poll, funded by Inter TV and conducted by Ukrainian Sociology Service, FOM, Center for Social and Marketing Research, reported these results:Yanukovych with 36.6 percent with Tymoshenko in second at 25.8 percent.

The trend, if confirmed, means Yanukovich and Tymoshenko will face each other in a run-off vote on Feb. 7.
