Deputy Premier Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Sergiy Tigipko believes that Ukraine will be able to reach agreement with Russia on the reduction of the natural gas price and this won't have any political consequences.

"I am sure that we will be able to reach the agreement, and this won’t have any political consequences," he said on Friday night on the Inter TV channel.

The minister stressed that Ukraine continues pursuing its energy saving policy, and is working on alternative routes of gas shipments to the country.

According to him, they are actively working on the project on the liquefied gas shipments to Ukraine, in particular they are studying two contracts with Western companies, one of them being American.
