You're reading: Turchynov: Signing coalition agreement with Batkivschyna, Svoboda is only option for UDAR

Batkivschyna election campaign coordinator Oleksandr Turchynov has said that the UDAR Party's plan for cooperation in parliament is identical to the statements of the coalition agreement and that’s why the party should sign an agreement on the creation of the democratic coalition.

“You know, you didn’t give any new position. All these points were
made in the agreement on the creation of the parliamentary coalition of
the democratic forces. But now all you say is just a repetition of the
coalition agreement. And if they [the UDAR party] agree with all these
statements, then I think they have only one option – to sign the
coalition agreement,” Turchynov said at the press conference on Monday.

“It’ll be a real step and confirmation that these are not just
slogans, but real tasks that this political force is to achieve,” he
said.

As reported, on October 19, Batkivschyna United Opposition and the
Svoboda Party signed an agreement on the creation of a coalition of
democratic forces in the new parliament. Klitschko stated that UDAR
would consider the question of creating a coalition after the
parliamentary elections.
