Batkivschyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko has said she believes that Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych should report to parliament on the situations at national telecoms operator Ukrtelecom, Swiss-registered gas trader RosUkrEnergo, and on the issue of social benefits to citizens.

"When [President] Yanukovych delivers his address to the nation tomorrow, I think it would be good if he reports on such transactions as the privatization of Ukrtelecom, (as reporters are investigating this), in favor of his own family… He should report on the billions of hryvnias that were given to RosUkrEnergo, and why pensions and salaries have currently been frozen, and why the entire social sphere has currently been ruined. What is happening today goes beyond everything," she told reporters on Wednesday after visiting the Prosecutor General’s Office, where she was examining the materials of a criminal case opened against her.
