Ukrainian Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is surprised at the fact that the key posts in the new cabinet are occupied by "major ideologists" from RosUkrEnergo.

"RosUkrEnergo as a body has come to the government of Yanukovych, and now, as I understand, the ideology of RosUkrEnergo to take everything from the state will be the concept of the new government. I was very surprised when RosUkrEnergo’s ideologists, founders and minor owners turned out to occupy the key posts in the new government," Tymoshenko said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.

Speaking about Mykola Azarov’s appointment as Ukrainian prime minister, Tymoshenko said that the appointment meant a return to stagnation and the absence of any reforms.

"I know that 242 MPs voted for Azarov’s [appointment]. Analyzing the government members and the prime minister candidate, then, first of all, the so called Azarovschyna (Azarov times) are returning to Ukraine. We remember well what this entailed: megacorruption, the closure of strategic state programs, pressure on small and middle business," Tymoshenko said.

With regard to the new government Tymoshenko said that "this government is completely made up of Ukrainian oligarchs."
