Kharkiv – Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has offered her condolences over Ukrainian actor Bohdan Stupka, who died on Sunday aged 70, the ex-premier’s defense lawyer, Serhiy Vlasenko, has said.
"Yulia Volodymyrivna [Tymoshenko] asked me to express her deep condolences to every Ukrainian, as each of us have suffered a loss because of the death of the outstanding Ukrainian master Bohdan Sylvestrovych Stupka. Yulia Volodymyrivna also asked me to pass her personal sincere condolences, and her deepest apologies, to the family of Bohdan Sylvestrovych, as she will not be able to say goodbye to this Ukrainian master," he told reporters on Monday near Ukrzaliznytsia's Central Clinical Hospital No. 5, where the former prime minister is undergoing treatment.
As reported, outstanding Ukrainian actor Stupka died at the age of 70 after a long illness at 7.45 a.m. on Sunday, July 22, at the Feofania clinic in Kyiv, where he spent the last four months of his life.
A memorial ceremony for the actor will be held in Ivan Franko Drama Theater in Kyiv on Tuesday. Stupka will be buried at the Baikove cemetery in Kyiv on Tuesday.
