Is the name given accurate? I have never heard of a Serhiy Taran only a Serhiy Haran.
They are two different people. Haran is a professor at Kyiv-Mohyla while Taran heads a policy center in Kyiv.
Too late, Viktor........ it WILL become a campaign issue for the 2012 parliamentary elections, in fact it already is.
You should have thought about the consequences before you started this vendetta. And I wonder how you are going to explain the loss of the EU Association and Free Trade Treaty to your voters, because you WILL lose it when Yulia and Lutsenko go to jail.
Charges will be dismissed as that is win,win for gov't.Gov't will earn points with west and she won't have opportunity to clear her name that a not guilty verdict would provide.
I don't think so. She has become a cause selebre amongst a few in EU, but at the moment Mr Yanukovich seems not to be worried about any fall out. The real shakers and movers of EU have pretty much ignored the trial and related events.
Are you living under a rock? Every major EU official has expressed outrage. She goes to jail; there will be no agreement ratified. Care to place a wager?
They expressed words, nothing but holllow words, as their own union burns down around them they dont care for one Ukrainian bandit called Tymoshenko
Do you have any other reference beyond asking about ones abode being related to a rock? Or are you simply trying to prove how limited your education has been.
Did you donate your brain? See anyone can ask stupid ignorant questions.
Wrong.... "charges dismissed" means "prosecution, you have failed to prove your accusations". Ergo, Yulia is not guilty and she has no need to clear her name- the judge will have done that for her.
If the prosecution withdraws the charges, ditto- they are effectively saying "we cannot prove the accusations". Again, Yulia has no need to clear her name, this time the prosecution will have done that.
All highly unlikely, I admit; Yulia will get 10 years- and becomes an instant martyr.
Tymo will be quickly forgotten.
and that is ok.
Dont count on it "Derek."
yes perhaps not by you and your two friends, but its a fact that 35% of Ukrainians believe she should be in prison, 32% are indifferent and 33% believe she shouldnt be targeted ie free.
That's why Ukraine deserves its government, because of those stupid 35%.
I guess the view fom under your rock is rather limited, but ther are quite a few people who take an interest in Yulia's fate.. Both inside and outside Ukraine, regardless of the statistics you pull out of your arse
Do you have rocks in your arse? Is that why you like asking about rocks? Perhaps you are a rock spider? Or was it your parents continually hit you on the head with rocks for being stupid when you were a kid?
Your comment is insular, ignorant and devoid of any sense, go to bed junior and bring your rock with you.
This farce will end the day Yanukonvict is behind bars or dead! Only then can we think about the future of our country.
What is the significance of shouting a OUN-UPA slogan at the judge? (Slava heroim; Glory to heroes)
Actually, Yulia said, "Slava Ukrayini" to which the spectators responded, "Heroyam Slava".
Evidently Tymo is wrapping herself in the UKR flag and is trying to show how "un-Ukrainian" the authorities are.
Does it matter to any of the idiots in bass ackwards bizarro Ukraine that Tymo was prosecuted under a 1927 stalin statute?
Does it matter to any of the idiots in bass ackwards bizarro Ukraine that the statute is unconstitutionally vague:
"exceeding the government, or powers of office, with heavy consequences"
Article 365, Ukraine Stalinist Criminal Code
Does it matter to any of the idiots in bass ackwards bizarro Ukraine that THERE WAS NO JURY, DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE CONSTITUTION GUARANTEES A JURY?
Does it to any of the idiots in bass ackwards bizarro Ukraine that the so-called prosecutors, the kangaroo prosecutors in a kangaroo stalinist show trial court, took a personal prime minister directive copy, and then proceeded to claim that it was actually a Cabinet of Ministers document?
Ukraine - what a sewer.
The is would be the same criminal code that Yulia had the opportunity to change when she was Prime Minister??????
Pull your head out of your ass boy
Yes, indeed - and now Yanukockroach's mafia is using the same stalinist criminal code to bite Tymo in the ass.
So what's your point?
You want Ukraine to continue being a sewer with a stalinist criminal code?
Seems to me that it's you who have your head up your ass.
The logical, normal response, the common sense steps would be:
1) recognize that it is wrong for Ukraine to have a stalinist criminal code
2) dismiss the charges against Tymo and the other 11 officials
3) correct the problem - eliminate the stalinist criminal code, and bring it up to European standards.
Instead, in bass ackwards bizarro Ukraine:
1) they make simple things complicated
2) they keep pointing fingers
3) noone corrects problems.
It's the blind leading the blind,
the dysfunctional leading the dysfunctional,
the insane leading the insane.
My solution is to recognize and fix the problem, which should have been fixed years ago.
Your solution is to keep your head up your ass and keep eating the same old shit.
I think my solution is much better.
A 31 year old judge???
Where did they find this guy??? Working at MacDonalds???
He is probably not out of diapers yet.
