The family of former Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko will pay the University Clinic Charite in Berlin for the services of its doctor during treatment of the ex-premier at Kharkiv Central Clinical Hospital No. 5.
"The bill for treatment from the German Charite clinic will be paid by Tymoshenko’s family," the ex-premier’s defense lawyer, Serhiy Vlasenko, said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday, May 11.
He said that a statement of First Deputy Health Ministry of Ukraine Raisa Moiseyenko, according to which the municipal authorities would pay for the services of German doctors for the treatment of Tymoshenko, was a provocation.
"No administrations, in Kharkiv or any other city, has to pay for this, and they won’t" Vlasenko said.
