Tymoshenko's lawyer hit with Brilliant Green dye, turns to law enforcers

Kharkiv – Serhiy Vlasenko, a defense lawyer of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, was hit with Brilliant Green dye on Monday near the entrance to the hospital in Kharkiv where the ex-premier is undergoing treatment.

Vlasenko told reporters that a young girl with long hair had thrown an open plastic bottle with the dye into his face.

The lawyer's face and T-shirt were almost entirely covered with the bright green antiseptic ointment.

Tymoshenko’s supporters, who are on duty near the hospital, helped Vlasenko wash his face.

The lawyer also asked police officers to file a report on the incident.

"I think this is a sign of the quality of my work," he said, while commenting on the incident.

This incident invites the obvious questions. Have the Party of Regions resorted to scraping the bottom of the barrel by using children to do their dirty misdeeds knowing full well that they will not be punished? Is this a precursor for more violent acts in the future? If this is found to be true, how could they possibly benefit from such an action(s)? No person with even a modicum of morality would countenance such behaviour.

The 'young girl' looked to be about 20 or so. If this was indeed a planned attack then I thoroughly disagree with these tactics. Shown on live TV, she got him good, crown to waist. I don't know if this stuff is indeed just 'green dye' or was it the antiseptic of the same colour? Either way, I don't agree with this at all.
